Republicans are pouring money into at least 39 US House races previously considered safe, after internal polling showed vulnerability ahead of the November 3 election. Major Republican groups and megadonors began spending in these districts since September 1. Republicans have reserved $888 million in advertising, compared with Democrats' $666 million, and Republican-leaning super PACs have outspent Democrats nearly 2-to-1 since Labor Day.
