Virat Kohli became India's most-capped ODI player against the West Indies, appearing in his 44th match in the first ODI in Thiruvananthapuram. He surpassed Mohammad Azharuddin's 43-game mark, set between 1985 and 1998. Kohli can equal Shivnarine Chanderpaul's world record of 46 ODIs if he plays all three matches in the series.
