US President Donald Trump announced a $15bn steel megaplant in Iowa, to be built by Mesabi Metallics, owned by India's Essar Group. Essar has deep Russian ties, having sold Essar Oil to a Rosneft-led consortium in 2016. The White House says the mill will create 1,750 permanent jobs and produce 7.5 million tonnes of steel annually.
