Congress Demands CEC Resignation Over Voter Roll Revision

The Congress Working Committee passed resolutions demanding Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar's immediate resignation, suspension of the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls, and restoration of 13.30 crore names it says were removed. The party alleged the ECI has become a "one-man show" and cited objections by two election commissioners. The BJP refuted the charges as the Supreme Court agreed to hear a plea on ECI functioning.
