Indian pilot hailed as hero after foiling mid-air attack

Captain Smit Machchhar, pilot of flydubai flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv, was stabbed by his co-pilot in an alleged attempt to crash the aircraft. Despite serious injuries, he opened the cockpit door, enabling passengers and crew to overpower the attacker. The plane made an emergency landing in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia, and all 174 people aboard were safe.
