The Reserve Bank of India has approved Anup Bagchi as HDFC Bank's new Managing Director and CEO, sending its US-listed ADRs up over 4%. Bagchi takes charge on October 27, 2026, succeeding Sashidhar Jagdishan, who did not seek reappointment, for a three-year term through October 2029, subject to shareholder approval.
