Saudi Arabia's Interior Ministry said a flydubai co-pilot assaulted Captain Smit Machchhar during a mid-air altercation on flight FZ1073 from Dubai to Tel Aviv, forcing an emergency landing in Tabuk on September 30. Both pilots were injured, medically cleared, and flown to Abu Dhabi with a UAE security team. The UAE has launched a separate investigation.
