Only 3% of India's parliamentary questions address climate

A new analysis by the Centre for Financial Accountability finds just 8,702 of over 2.34 lakh parliamentary questions raised in the decade to December 2025 concerned climate — about 3%. Clean energy and decarbonisation dominated, while climate finance and global governance remained blind spots. Oversight was largely event-driven, the report said.
