Delhi Police Denies Jantar Mantar Protest Against CEC, Tightens Security

Delhi Police has refused permission for an October 2 protest at Jantar Mantar demanding the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged irregularities in electoral rolls and the Special Intensive Revision exercise. Eleven metro stations were closed and CAPF personnel deployed as organisers, including AAP leaders, student unions, Manoj Jha and Prashant Bhushan, vowed to proceed.
