The United States delivered two F-16V Block 70 fighter jets to Taiwan on Friday, the first of 66 under an $8 billion deal approved during President Trump's first term. The jets landed at Chihhang Air Base in Taitung after refuelling stops in Hawaii and Guam, following months of delay. Taiwan seeks to bolster defences against a feared Chinese attack.
