UK diesel prices reached a record average of £2 a litre, up 40.5% since late February due to supply disruptions from the US-Israel war on Iran. Petrol also rose to 174.1p. The UK government insists there is no diesel shortage, while France proposes releasing 50m barrels of diesel and 50m barrels of crude from reserves.
