Indian pilot Smit Machchhar, stabbed by his co-pilot on a Flydubai flight to Tel Aviv, described opening the cockpit door despite his injuries so passengers could help overpower the attacker. The plane, carrying 174 people, plunged about 17,000 feet before a second crew landed it in Tabuk, Saudi Arabia. UAE officials called it a terrorist act and opened an investigation.
