Great White Sharks Surge Into Canadian Atlantic Waters

Great white sharks are increasingly appearing in Canada's Atlantic waters, with a 4.2m shark nicknamed Contender spotted off Nova Scotia after migrating from Florida. Recovering seal populations and warming seas have drawn the predators north, raising concerns after a diver was attacked off Quebec's Gaspe Coast in September. Researchers say sharks rarely target humans.
