TMC Loses Key Parliamentary Panel Chairmanships After Split

The Trinamool Congress has lost chairmanship of two parliamentary standing committees after a reconstitution by Rajya Sabha Chairman C P Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla. BJP's Sudhanshu Trivedi replaced TMC's Dola Sen on the Commerce panel, while rebel TMC leader Kakoli Ghosh Dastidar took over Chemicals and Fertilisers. The change follows a split in TMC, with 20 rebel MPs joining the Nationalist Citizen Party and backing the NDA.
