COVID-19 Tied to Six New Allergic Conditions, Study Finds

A matched cohort study found COVID-19 infection was linked to increased risks of six newly diagnosed allergic conditions over 18 months in people aged 1–64. Risks rose for atopic dermatitis, asthma, food allergy, rhinoconjunctivitis, medication allergy, and urticaria. Children showed associations with five conditions, while service members mainly saw asthma and rhinoconjunctivitis.
