An Omani co-pilot accused of attacking Indian captain Smit Machchhar on a flydubai flight allegedly planned to crash the plane into a Tel Aviv skyscraper, according to Italian newspaper Corriere della Sera. The report says Hammam al-Hammami struck Machchhar with a crash axe, then disengaged the autopilot, causing a 16,000-foot descent in 30 seconds. Investigators are examining whether he tried to shut off the engines.
