WMA Urged to Demand Release of Detained Palestinian Medics

As the World Medical Association meets in Rotterdam, advocates are pressing members to demand the release of detained Palestinian healthcare workers, including Dr Hussam Abu Safia, held over 22 months without charge. More than 1,700 health workers have been killed in Gaza, with over 80 still in Israeli custody and roughly 90 percent of Gaza's health infrastructure destroyed.
