FSSAI Orders Everest to Recall Cumin Powder Over Pesticide Residues

FSSAI has ordered Everest Food Products to immediately recall a batch of pre-packed cumin powder after tests found pesticide residues Azoxystrobin and Thiamethoxam above maximum limits. The sample, collected in Goa, was declared unsafe under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006, and a referral lab upheld the finding. Everest must maintain recall records and take corrective measures.
