Former Chief Justice of India B.R. Gavai and retired Delhi High Court judges S.N. Dhingra and R.S. Sodhi on Monday criticised Supreme Court judge Justice Ujjal Bhuyan for his remarks on disenfranchisement in the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls. They said a sitting judge should not comment on a matter sub judice before the apex court. Bhuyan had called any process that disenfranchises millions 'intrinsically arbitrary'.
