Election Commission Declines Opposition MPs' Meeting Request at Parliament Annexe

India's Election Commission said it was willing to meet 240 opposition MPs but refused their proposed venue at the Parliament House annexe, citing protocol that such meetings be held only on EC premises. The EC offered to send a senior officer to receive their memorandum, but the MPs declined. The opposition delegation, led by Rahul Gandhi, had marched toward Nirvachan Sadan.
