BJP Yuva Morcha workers in Pune put up posters reading "Be a Machchhar, not a Cockroach", praising pilot Captain Smit Machchhar and apparently targeting Cockroach Janta Party supporters. Machchhar was celebrated after resisting a September 30 cockpit axe attack on Flydubai Flight 1073. The campaign drew applause and criticism online, with many saying heroism should not be politicised.
