Christa Pike, a Tennessee death row inmate, is conscious and speaking after surviving two doses of pentobarbital in a botched execution attempt on 30 September. Her lawyers are seeking a court order to preserve all evidence related to the failed procedure. Pike, 50, was set to become the first woman executed in Tennessee in over 200 years.
