Germany's ex-spy chief August Hanning arrested on espionage suspicion

August Hanning, 80, who led Germany's BND from 1998 to 2005, has been arrested on suspicion of treasonous espionage, accused of passing around 2,000 sensitive documents to a foreign intelligence service since 2010 while working as a private consultant. A former bureau chief has also been arrested in the case.
