NHRC Notice to Delhi Police Over Journalists' Harassment

The National Human Rights Commission has issued a notice to the Delhi Police Commissioner over allegations that three women journalists were sexually harassed by police personnel during a protest at Jantar Mantar on October 3. The NHRC took suo motu cognisance of media reports, calling the claims serious human rights violations, and seeks a detailed report within two weeks. The Delhi Police Crime Branch is investigating the complaints.
