Arizona Candidate Says She Was Raped While Fixing Campaign Sign

Bernadette Greene-Placentia, a Democratic congressional candidate in Arizona, says she was raped on 14 August while repairing a campaign sign in a Sun City parking lot. She told the Phoenix New Times she was knocked unconscious and reported the assault to the Maricopa County Sheriff's Office two weeks later. Her Republican opponent, Abraham Hamadeh, urged a thorough investigation.
