US Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth said the execution of Nidal Hasan, convicted of the 2009 Fort Hood shooting that killed 13, will be public and livestreamed. Hasan will be executed by firing squad on December 3 at Fort Hood. It would be the US military's first execution since 1961 and first firing squad since WWII.
