Airlines Face Mounting Cost Crisis, FT Reports

The Financial Times warns of a mounting crisis for airlines as persistently high fuel prices force carriers to cut flights, axe costs and delay payments on leased aircraft. Industry leaders say the risk of airlines collapsing over the winter is higher than in previous years, following the earlier failures of Spirit Airlines and airBaltic.
