Delhi Locked Down as Police Detain Protest Leaders

Indian police detained Cockroach Janta Party founder Abhijeet Dipke and other leaders in New Delhi on Saturday, as nearly 30,000 personnel sealed off the capital to block protests demanding the election chief's resignation. Authorities banned the demonstration, cancelled trains, shut over 50 metro stations and imposed an internet shutdown. The movement opposes a voter revision that removed 130 million names from electoral rolls.
