IOA Launches 2026 Elections Under New Sports Governance Act

The Indian Olympic Association has begun its 2026 electoral process under the National Sports Governance Act, 2025, appointing former Election Commissioner Sanjay Kumar Srivastava as Electoral Officer. Athletes' Commission elections are set for November 3, with Executive Council polls on December 5. President P.T. Usha said the elections will strengthen governance, transparency and athlete-centric institutions.
