Cristiano Ronaldo has been provisionally suspended by the Portuguese football federation, which opened disciplinary proceedings after he walked out on the national team. The 41-year-old apologised to supporters while criticising coach Jorge Jesus, saying the manager broke a fitness plan agreed for the Norway and Denmark matches. The federation gave the case urgent status.
