Christa Pike, who survived Tennessee's lethal injection attempt, has been discharged from hospital and returned to prison, her lawyers said Saturday. The 50-year-old is receiving ongoing medical care at the Deborah K. Johnson Rehabilitation Center. She survived two doses of pentobarbital on Sept. 30 for the 1995 murder of Colleen Slemmer. A judge ordered evidence preserved as the state weighs a new execution date.
