YouTuber Dhruv Rathee has alleged that around 20 plainclothes men entered his home while he was asleep and took him away without identifying themselves, calling it a "kidnapping" rather than an arrest. He said he was held for about 20 hours, denied access to a lawyer or phone, and sustained injuries. He also displayed his passport to reject citizenship rumours and accused the government of an "unofficial emergency" ahead of a protest against the chief election commissioner.
