Hertsmere Borough Council has removed a 3,750-home development between Borehamwood and Shenley from its emerging Local Plan after a six-week public consultation. The Well End site was one of four housing extensions dropped, totaling 6,752 homes. The revised plan still includes at least 14,390 homes between 2026 and 2041, with formal consultation open until November 19, 2026.
