India has firmly rejected China's objections to the standardisation of names for 28 places and geographical features in Ladakh, stating that no amount of denial can change the fact that Ladakh is an integral part of India. The Ministry of External Affairs said the naming, done in consultation with the Union Territory administration and local stakeholders, aims to ensure accurate recognition on Survey of India maps. China called the move illegal and invalid, reiterating its opposition to the Union Territory's establishment.
