West Bengal Urban Development Minister Agnimitra Paul said the vibrant colours painted on Kolkata's roads ahead of Durga Puja will last only four to five months and may wash away in rain. The project, funded by CSR, covers major thoroughfares but has drawn safety concerns from Congress leader Ashutosh Chatterjee over the use of oil-based paints that could cause skidding. Paul plans to extend the colours to Park Street before Christmas.
