England all-rounder Chris Woakes has released his autobiography, The Wizard, written with Guardian journalist Ali Martin. The book traces his journey from a state-school-educated, one-club Warwickshire career to two World Cup wins and the 2023 Ashes, where he earned the Compton-Miller medal. It opens with his one-armed innings at the Oval last year after dislocating his shoulder.
