Governments and cybersecurity agencies are racing to contain a major flaw in internet technology after AI uncovered vulnerabilities that hackers could exploit. Developers of the PHP platform, which powers over 70% of websites including Wikipedia, released patches for issues that had lurked in their software for years. Security firm Wiz called it the most severe issue ever detected.
