Palestinians return to ruined Hebron homes after Israeli siege

About 3,300 Palestinians have returned to Hebron's Ein Deir Bahha and al-Jalda neighbourhoods after a 10-day Israeli military operation that followed the killing of two soldiers on October 23. Residents found demolished homes, vandalised property and shuttered shops. Hebron municipality estimates daily economic losses above 12 million shekels ($3.8m), with infrastructure damage exceeding 6 million shekels.
