Routine Screening Detects Psoriatic Arthritis in 61.5% of Psoriasis Patients

A prospective dermatology clinic study found routine PEST screening flagged 72 of 117 psoriasis patients (61.5%) for possible psoriatic arthritis, a significant rise over pre-screening detection (P<0.001). Pain severity was the only significant predictor of a positive screen. Guselkumab plus a Mediterranean diet produced the greatest one-month pain reduction, though self-selected treatment limits the dietary findings.
