Climate change raised Cyclone Arnab damage by 33%, study finds

Climate change increased the damage caused by Cyclone Arnab, which struck eastern India on October 28, by 33 per cent, adding tens of millions of dollars in direct losses, an Imperial College London study found. Researchers estimate about 25 per cent of total economic damage is attributable to human-induced warming, with wind speeds up roughly 5 per cent and eyewall rainfall 11 per cent more intense at landfall.
