Supreme Court Reaffirms OBC Creamy Layer Ruling, Rejects Centre's Plea

The Supreme Court on Friday reaffirmed its March 11 verdict holding that a parent's salary from a PSU or private-sector job alone cannot determine OBC creamy-layer exclusion. A bench of Justices P S Narasimha and R Mahadevan rejected the Centre's plea for prospective application, citing no convincing justification for delay.
