Delhi Imposes GRAP Stage 3 Curbs as AQI Hits 382 Before Diwali

The Commission for Air Quality Management invoked GRAP Stage 3 across Delhi-NCR from Friday, two days before Diwali, as the city's AQI reached 382 in the 'very poor' category. Several stations recorded 'severe' levels, including IIT Delhi and Rohini at 474 each. The curbs ban BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers and halt dust-generating construction, while Metro trips and buses are being added.
