Sensex, Nifty end weakest Samvat in 15 years with late rally

Samvat 2082 closed with the Sensex down 4% and the Nifty 3.1%, their worst Samvat performance since 2011, despite a late rally delivering weekly gains of 8.6-8.8%, the biggest in nearly six years. Foreign selling of about $31.3 billion, elevated crude oil, West Asia tensions and US tariff disruption weighed on markets, while midcaps and smallcaps ended higher.
