Mumbai's Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation has transferred about 695 engineers through a new online randomisation system, following allegations of a cash-for-transfer scam. The move covers 152 junior engineers, 444 sub-engineers and 99 assistant engineers across civil, mechanical and electrical cadres. Officials said most engineers received preferred postings and that routine transfers will now be handled online.
