NASA Opens Applications for New Astronaut Class to Support Artemis

NASA is accepting applications until December 3 for its 25th astronaut class, aimed at expanding the Artemis lunar programme. The agency announced the call on November 7 at a Kennedy Space Centre air show. With only 32 active astronauts, NASA expects to select finalists by late 2027, with training beginning in early 2028 as it targets a return to the lunar surface.
