SBI becomes first Indian bank to cross Rs 100 trillion business

State Bank of India (SBI) has become the first Indian bank to surpass Rs 100 trillion in total business, with deposits exceeding Rs 60 trillion and advances crossing Rs 50 trillion. The bank's balance sheet grew to Rs 76.6 trillion by June 2026, up from Rs 67.7 trillion a year earlier. SBI reiterated its FY27 guidance of 14-15% credit growth and 10-11% deposit growth, and expects to mobilize around $10 billion under the RBI's FCNR-B deposit scheme.
