Akasa Air, Air India Express Unaffected by FAA Boeing 737 Directive

Akasa Air and Air India Express, India's largest Boeing 737 MAX operators, said their fleets are unaffected by a US FAA directive requiring inspections for possible fuselage cracks on certain 737 variants. The directive, issued August 7, targets cracks in the bearing strap near the forward galley door. Akasa Air, with 40 aircraft, noted the inspection threshold exceeds its lease terms, while Air India Express, operating around 80 planes, confirmed no impact. SpiceJet, another 737 operator, did not comment.
