India has formally identified 27 places and geographical features in Arunachal Pradesh on the official Survey of India map, countering China's attempts to rename locations in the state. The move aims to ensure accurate recognition and public awareness, an official statement said. New Delhi has consistently rejected Beijing's efforts as 'vain and preposterous,' asserting that Arunachal Pradesh 'was, is, and will' always remain an integral part of India. The sites include strategic areas like Long Ju, Thag La, and Bisa village.
