India mulls framework to regulate OTT content

India's information and broadcasting ministry is considering a statutory framework to regulate OTT content deemed offensive to societal moral standards, while protecting individual freedoms. A parliamentary committee recommended technology-enabled age verification, parental controls, penalties for non-compliance, and an independent post-release review panel to monitor flagged content.
