US Proposes Ending 60-Day Grace Period for H-1B Workers

The Trump administration is advancing a proposal to eliminate the 60-day grace period that allows H-1B workers and other nonimmigrants to stay in the US after losing their jobs. The rule, under review by the White House, would force workers to quickly find new sponsorship or leave, increasing employer leverage and uncertainty for thousands, mostly from India.
